# How to Generate Your Base Tax Report with KoinX

> Connect your Base to KoinX in a few steps to generate and file your Base taxes accurately.

## Connect Base to KoinX

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open KoinX Integrations">
    Log in to [app.koinx.com](https://app.koinx.com) → **Integrations** → **Add Integration**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Base">
    Search for **Base** in the integrations list and select it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your public wallet address">
    Paste your public Base wallet address into the address field, then click **Connect**.

    <Warning>
      KoinX only needs your **public wallet address**. Never enter your private key or seed phrase.

  <Step title="Wait for sync to complete">
    KoinX fetches all on-chain Base transactions. Once sync completes, your entire Base history is in KoinX.

## Verify your Base transactions

    Check **Portfolio** to confirm assets appear correctly.

## Troubleshooting

    **Why this happens:** Incorrect wallet address or sync still in progress.

    **Fix:** Verify the address under **Integrations** → **Base**. Remove and re-add if wrong.

    **Why this happens:** High transaction volume on Base.

    **Fix:** Wait up to 10 minutes. Remove and reconnect if not resolved.

  <Accordion title="DeFi transactions on Base aren't classified correctly">
    **Why this happens:** Complex DeFi protocol structures.

    **Fix:** Re-sync and manually classify remaining unclassified transactions.

    **Why this happens:** Temporary node connection issue.

    **Fix:** Click **Reconnect** or remove and re-add the wallet.
