# How to Generate Your BL3P Tax Report with KoinX

## Connect BL3P to KoinX

**API Key syncs your full BL3P transaction history automatically - no file exports needed.**

    ## Generate your BL3P API key

        Go to [bl3p.eu](https://www.bl3p.eu) and sign in to your account.

      <Step title="Open Security settings">
        Click on the **Security** section.

      <Step title="Name your API and request a new key">
        Under **API Access**, enter a name for your API key and click **Request New Key**.

      <Step title="Select Read Only and generate">
        Select **Read Only** and click **Generate Key**.

          Select **Read Only** only. Never enable trading or withdrawal permissions on an API key connected to a third-party service.
        </Warning>

      <Step title="Copy your API key and Secret Key">
        Copy both your **API Key** and **Secret Key** and store them securely. The Secret Key is shown only once.

    ## Connect BL3P to KoinX

        Log in to [app.koinx.com](https://app.koinx.com) -> **Integrations** -> **Add Integration**.

      <Step title="Select BL3P">
        Search for **BL3P** and select it.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Paste your keys and import">
        Paste your **API Key** and **Secret Key** into the respective fields and click **Import Now**.
      </Step>

    <Check>
      **Done.** KoinX begins syncing your BL3P history. Large accounts may take a few minutes.

    Once your BL3P data is in, head over to [Tax Reports](https://app.koinx.com/tax-report) on KoinX - your capital gains, income breakdown, and country-specific crypto tax report are ready for you there.

      * **Read Only is required** - keys with broader permissions may be rejected by KoinX as a security measure.
      * **Secret Key is shown once only** - copy it immediately at the time of creation and store it securely.
      * **Sync from account creation date** - transaction history must cover the full period from when you opened your BL3P account with no gaps.

## Frequently asked questions

    Read Only permissions only. This gives KoinX access to your full transaction history without the ability to place trades or move funds. Never generate an API key with broader permissions for a third-party service.

  <Accordion title="Will BL3P show my Secret Key again after I leave the page?">
    No. BL3P displays the Secret Key only once at the time of creation. Copy it immediately and store it securely. If lost, delete the key from Security -> API Access and generate a new one.

  <Accordion title="Do I need to report my BL3P transactions for tax purposes?">
    Yes. Tax filing is required if you have a BL3P account and are using it for transactions and generating profits. Follow the rules and regulations set by the relevant authority in your region.

## Troubleshooting

    Confirm the key was generated with Read Only permission in **BL3P** -> **Security** -> **API Access**. Delete the credentials in KoinX and re-enter both values carefully - copy directly from BL3P to avoid invisible characters.

  <Accordion title="Transactions are missing after sync">
    Ensure the transaction history covers the full period from your BL3P account creation date with no gaps. Trigger a manual re-sync from **KoinX** -> **Integrations** -> **BL3P**. If records are still missing, disconnect and reconnect with a fresh API key.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="API sync keeps failing">
    Check the BL3P platform for ongoing maintenance. If the platform is operational, verify the key is still active under **Security** -> **API Access**. Regenerate if expired, re-enter credentials in KoinX, and trigger a fresh sync.

  <Accordion title="API connection worked before but stopped syncing">
    BL3P API keys can become inactive following account security changes. Log in to BL3P, check the key status under **Security** -> **API Access**, and regenerate if inactive. Update the new credentials in KoinX under **Integrations** -> **BL3P** -> **Edit**.

    Delete the existing key from **BL3P** -> **Security** -> **API Access**, generate a new key with Read Only permission only, and reconnect in KoinX with the new credentials.
