# How to Generate Your ZebPay Tax Report with KoinX

> Connect your ZebPay account to KoinX in a few steps to generate and file your ZebPay taxes accurately. Tracks Section 194S TDS and generates an ITD-compliant Schedule VDA report.

## Choose how to connect ZebPay to KoinX

**Direct Connect is the fastest option, five taps inside the ZebPay app, no files or API keys needed.** Use File Upload if you prefer manual control or need to import specific financial years.

      Your KoinX account will be created or linked using the **same email address** registered with ZebPay. If your ZebPay and KoinX emails differ, go to **KoinX** → **Account Settings** → **Add Another Email** and add your ZebPay email before connecting.

      <Step title="Open the ZebPay app and log in">
        Launch the **ZebPay** app and sign in to your account.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Open My Account">
        Tap the **menu icon (☰)** at the top-left of the home screen to open your **My Account** page.

      <Step title="Go to Account Integrations">
        Scroll down to the **Account Integrations** section.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Tap Tax Report with KoinX">
        Tap **Tax Report with KoinX** inside Account Integrations.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Review Terms and tap Agree and Proceed">
        On the **Continue to KoinX** screen, review the Terms and Conditions and then tap Agree and Proceed.

        <Note>
          Tapping **Agree and Proceed** completes the connection. Your ZebPay trades will immediately start importing to KoinX.

      **Done.** Your ZebPay trades, deposits, and withdrawals are now flowing into KoinX. Your Indian crypto tax report is already being built.

    <Warning>
      * **Max 1 year per export** — repeat for each financial year and upload all files together.
      * **Reports are emailed** — ZebPay sends the file to your registered email. Allow 15–20 minutes.
      * **Never open files before uploading.** Re-download a fresh copy if you already did.

    Log in to the ZebPay app → tap **☰** → **Statements** → set **Date Range** to the financial year you're filing for (1 Apr – 31 Mar).

    ## Upload to KoinX

    <Note>
      If you used the **File Upload** tab above, follow these steps to complete your import. Direct Connect users can skip this — your sync is already done.
    </Note>

      <Step title="Open KoinX Integrations">
        Log in to [app.koinx.com](https://app.koinx.com) → **Integrations** → **Add Integration**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Select ZebPay">
        Search **ZebPay** and select it.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Upload all files">
        Upload all downloaded files — Trade, Crypto Wallet, Lending, CryptoPack, and Futures — for every financial year. Multi-select works.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Submit">
        Click **Submit**. KoinX processes and imports your full ZebPay history.
      </Step>

    <Check>
      **Done.** KoinX classifies your transactions and prepares them for gains calculation and report generation.
    </Check>

    Your ZebPay history is fully loaded — go to [Tax Reports](https://app.koinx.com/tax-report) on KoinX and your crypto tax report is ready to download.

## Frequently asked questions

    **Direct Connect is recommended for most users.** It takes under 2 minutes, requires no file management, and syncs automatically. Use File Upload if you prefer to control exactly which financial years are imported.

  <Accordion title="What data does ZebPay share with KoinX during Direct Connect?">
    ZebPay shares your Email ID, Full Name, and Transaction Data — covering all trades, deposits, and withdrawals. This is everything KoinX needs to calculate your capital gains and generate a tax report.

  <Accordion title="What if my ZebPay and KoinX emails are different?">
    Go to **KoinX** → **Account Settings** → **Add Another Email** and add your ZebPay registered email before connecting. This links your ZebPay data to your existing KoinX account correctly.

  <Accordion title="Do I need to download all five file types for File Upload?">
    Only download the statement types you've actually used. If you've only done spot trades, the Trade file is enough. Upload everything together in one KoinX session.

    Yes. KoinX handles VDA tax rules, TDS calculations, and generates a Schedule VDA-ready ITR report from your ZebPay data.

## Troubleshooting

    Go to ZebPay → **☰** → **My Account** → **Account Integrations** → **Tax Report with KoinX**, tap **Unlink**, then reconnect. If transactions are still missing, contact the KoinX support team.

  <Accordion title="Tax Report with KoinX option is missing in ZebPay">
    Update the ZebPay app to the latest version via the App Store or Google Play. The option appears at **☰** → **My Account** → **Account Integrations** → **Tax Report with KoinX**.

  <Accordion title="KoinX account was created with the wrong email">
    Log in to your primary KoinX account → **Account Settings** → **Add Another Email** → add your ZebPay email, then reconnect from the ZebPay app.

  <Accordion title="Tapped Explore KoinX but nothing happened">
    Force-close and reopen the ZebPay app, then repeat the connection from **Account Integrations** → **Tax Report with KoinX**.

  <Accordion title="File upload error in KoinX">
    Re-download the original files from ZebPay without opening them. Opening in Excel or any spreadsheet app corrupts the file format.

  <Accordion title="Report not received by email after export request">
    ZebPay takes up to 15–20 minutes to email exported statements. Check your spam folder and wait before re-requesting.
