Paste your keys and import
Paste your API Key and Secret Key into the respective fields and click Import Now.
Done. KoinX begins syncing your Bittrex history. Large accounts may take a few minutes.
Once your Bittrex data is in, head over to Tax Reports on KoinX - your capital gains, income breakdown, and country-specific crypto tax report are ready for you there.
What permissions does the Bittrex API key need for KoinX?
Read Info permissions only. This is Bittrex’s read-only configuration and gives KoinX access to your full transaction history without the ability to place trades or move funds. Never select broader permissions for a third-party service.
Will Bittrex show my Secret Key again after I leave the page?
No. Bittrex displays the Secret Key only once at the time of creation. Copy it immediately and store it securely. If lost, delete the key from My Account -> API Keys and generate a new one.
Do I need to report my Bittrex transactions for tax purposes?
Yes. If you have a Bittrex account and are engaged in crypto transactions to make a profit, you must report your taxes. Follow the crypto tax provisions set by the relevant authority in your region.
Does Bittrex provide tax reports directly?
No. Bittrex does not provide tax-ready reports. By connecting your Bittrex account to KoinX via API key, your full transaction history is imported automatically and a compliant, country-specific tax report is generated within minutes.
Does KoinX support my country's crypto tax rules?
Yes. KoinX supports 100+ countries with dedicated report formats for India, the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and more. After importing your Bittrex data, select your country to generate the correct report.
Confirm Read Info is selected in Bittrex -> My Account -> API Keys. Delete the credentials in KoinX and re-enter both values carefully - copy directly from Bittrex to avoid invisible characters.
Transactions are missing after sync
Ensure the transaction history covers the full period from your Bittrex account creation date with no gaps. Trigger a manual re-sync from KoinX -> Integrations -> Bittrex. If records are still missing, disconnect and reconnect with a fresh API key.
API sync keeps failing
Check the Bittrex platform for ongoing maintenance. If the platform is operational, verify the key is still active under My Account -> API Keys. Regenerate if expired, re-enter credentials in KoinX, and trigger a fresh sync.
API connection worked before but stopped syncing
Bittrex API keys can become inactive following account security changes. Log in to Bittrex, check the key status under My Account -> API Keys, and regenerate if inactive. Update the new credentials in KoinX under Integrations -> Bittrex -> Edit.
Wrong permissions were selected during API creation
Delete the existing key from Bittrex -> My Account -> API Keys, generate a new key with Read Info permission only, and reconnect in KoinX with the new credentials.
KoinX is showing duplicate Bittrex transactions
Check KoinX -> Integrations for duplicate Bittrex connections and remove any extras. If a file was previously uploaded for the same period, delete those transactions before re-syncing via API.
