What’s covered

ETH transfers

Native Ethereum sends and receives.

ERC-20 and DeFi

Token transfers, DeFi interactions, and NFT activity.

Before you start

Ethereum wallet address

Your public Ethereum address (starts with 0x). Never your private key or seed phrase.

KoinX account

Free account — no credit card needed.

Connect Ethereum to KoinX

1

Open KoinX Integrations

Log in to app.koinx.comIntegrationsAdd Integration.
2

Select Ethereum

Search for Ethereum in the integrations list and select it.
3

Enter your public wallet address

Paste your public Ethereum wallet address (starts with 0x) into the address field, then click Connect.
KoinX only requires your public wallet address. Never enter your private key or seed phrase — not here, not on any platform.
4

Wait for sync to complete

KoinX fetches all on-chain transactions linked to your address. Most wallets sync within a few minutes; very high-activity wallets may take longer.
Done. KoinX has your complete Ethereum transaction history. Capital gains calculation and tax report generation are now automatic.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. KoinX supports Ethereum blockchain integration. Add your public wallet address in the Integrations section and KoinX automatically fetches all on-chain transactions, classifies them, and includes them in your crypto tax report.
No. KoinX only requires your public wallet address. Your private keys and seed phrases are never requested. If any platform asks for your private key, do not proceed.
KoinX imports all on-chain activity: ETH transfers, ERC-20 token transfers, DeFi transactions, NFT activity, staking rewards, and any other activity recorded on the Ethereum blockchain.
KoinX fetches your complete on-chain transaction history from your Ethereum wallet address. If you have more than 30,000 transactions, contact KoinX support for assisted integration.
Yes. Add each wallet address separately under the Ethereum integration. All wallets are aggregated in your KoinX portfolio and included in your tax report.

Verify your Ethereum transactions

1

Navigate to the Ethereum integration

In KoinX, go to IntegrationsEthereum. Your connected wallet address and transaction count are displayed here.
2

Verify transaction types are present

Confirm that deposits, withdrawals, trades, and transfers from your Ethereum wallet are listed. KoinX classifies each transaction type automatically.
3

Review any unclassified transactions

If any transactions are marked unclassified, click on them to assign the correct category. This ensures your tax calculation is accurate.
4

Confirm portfolio reflects Ethereum holdings

Navigate to Portfolio to confirm your ETH and ERC-20 assets appear with correct current values and unrealised gains.
After a successful sync, the Ethereum integration page shows your wallet address, a transaction count, and a last-synced timestamp. Your Portfolio page reflects your ETH holdings, and the Transactions page lists every on-chain activity item with a classification label.
Click on any unclassified transaction and assign the correct category: trade, transfer, income, DeFi, or other. KoinX uses your classification to apply the correct tax treatment. Contact KoinX support if a large number remain unclassified.
This usually means a transaction was classified incorrectly or a wallet address was entered with an error. Go to IntegrationsEthereum, verify the address, and refresh the sync. Contact KoinX support if the mismatch persists.

Troubleshooting

Why this happens: The wallet address entered was incorrect or the sync is still in progress.Fix: Go to IntegrationsEthereum and verify the wallet address shown matches your actual Ethereum wallet (starts with 0x). If wrong, remove the integration and re-add with the correct address. If correct, wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
Why this happens: Wallets with more than 30,000 transactions hit KoinX’s standard sync limit, or a sync error occurred mid-process.Fix: Check the transaction count on the Ethereum integration page. If over 30,000 transactions, contact KoinX support for assisted integration. If under the limit, disconnect and reconnect the wallet to trigger a fresh sync.
Why this happens: Ethereum wallets with high DeFi or NFT activity take longer to process.Fix: Wait up to 10 minutes for high-activity wallets. If the sync hasn’t completed after that, go to IntegrationsEthereum, remove the wallet, and reconnect. Contact KoinX support if the issue persists.
Why this happens: A temporary connection issue between KoinX and the Ethereum node occurred during sync.Fix: Go to IntegrationsEthereum and click Reconnect. If the error persists, remove the wallet and re-add it.
Why this happens: Some DeFi protocols use non-standard transaction structures that require re-sync or manual classification.Fix: Trigger a re-sync from IntegrationsEthereum. If specific transactions remain unclassified, manually assign the correct category by clicking on the transaction.
