Search for CoinSwitch and select it.
3
Upload your file
Click Upload or drag your CoinSwitch statement file into the upload area and select the .xlsx file received from your email.
4
Submit
Click Submit and wait for KoinX to process and import your transactions.
Done. KoinX reads your transactions, classifies them, and prepares everything for gains calculation and report generation.
Now that your CoinSwitch file is in, head to Tax Reports on KoinX - your capital gains across all trades and transfers are already calculated and your report is ready to download.
Only .xlsx files are accepted for CoinSwitch uploads. CSV and PDF formats are not supported. If you received a different file type, re-request the statement from CoinSwitch and ensure you download the .xlsx version.
Should I use the app or the website to download my CoinSwitch report?
Both methods produce the same file. Use whichever is more convenient. The app exports Tax P&L under Reports, while the website exports Account Reports under the same section. Both are sent to your registered email as an .xlsx file.
What financial year and quarters should I select?
Select the financial year you are filing for and choose All Quarters to ensure your complete history for that year is included. To avoid missing any transactions, always export from your very first trade on CoinSwitch to today.
What file format does CoinSwitch use and does KoinX support it?
CoinSwitch exports statements as .xlsx files. KoinX only accepts .xlsx format for CoinSwitch uploads - CSV and PDF formats are not supported. Do not convert or open the file before uploading.
How long does it take to receive the CoinSwitch statement by email?
The app sends the file almost immediately. The website may take 5-10 minutes. Check your Spam or Junk folder if the email has not arrived after that time.
Does KoinX support my country's crypto tax rules?
Yes. KoinX supports 100+ countries with dedicated report formats for India, the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and more. After importing your CoinSwitch data, select your country to generate the correct report.
Check your Spam or Junk folder. If the email is still missing after 10 minutes, log back into CoinSwitch and re-request the statement. Confirm your registered email address is active and accessible.
File format error on upload to KoinX
Only .xlsx files are accepted. If you received a CSV or PDF, re-request the statement from CoinSwitch and download the correct .xlsx version. Do not convert the file using Excel or Google Sheets.
Transactions are missing after upload
Confirm you selected All Quarters for the correct financial year. If records from earlier periods are missing, re-export the statement for those financial years separately and upload all files together in one KoinX session.
File won't upload to KoinX
Re-download the original .xlsx file from your CoinSwitch email without opening it. Opening the file in Excel or Google Sheets reformats the structure and breaks the upload.
KoinX is showing duplicate CoinSwitch transactions
This happens when overlapping files covering the same financial year are uploaded. Go to KoinX -> Integrations, remove the duplicate CoinSwitch upload, and re-upload a single file covering the correct period.
Profile icon is not visible on the CoinSwitch home page
On the app, the profile icon is a circular blue icon at the top left. On the website, it appears at the top right. If you cannot locate it, try refreshing the page or logging out and back in.
